The Royal Goan Beach Club

Even though the name sounds like we should be near the ocean, we’re actually located at 1076 in Parvatiya Colony-II. This is in the N.I.T part of Faridabad. It’s funny how that works out. Haryana doesn’t have beaches, but we manage things from here anyway. The office is tucked away in the colony, and it’s a pretty quiet street most days compared to the main roads. We deal with all the beach club memberships and questions people have. You wouldn't think a beach club would be run out of a residential-looking area in 121005, but we’ve made it work for years. We have a couple of desks, some old filing cabinets, and a computer that’s a bit slow in the mornings. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but once you find us, it’s easy. People come by to talk about their vacations or sort out their paperwork. We don't use big fancy words or have a slick lobby. It’s just a plain room where we handle the business. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s clean enough. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people who actually are at the beach. It makes us a little jealous sometimes, but someone has to stay here and keep the records straight. That’s just how it goes for us. We've been in this building so long we know every creak in the floor.
