Sirocco Pressings Pvt. Ltd. is at 15/7 Mathura Road, in the NIT area. Being on Mathura Road means there is never a dull moment with all the traffic rushing past. The building itself has been there for quite a while and has a lot of character, which is a polite way of saying it’s a bit old. We do a lot of pressing work here, so the vibrations from the machines are something you just stop noticing after the first week. The windows are usually covered in a bit of industrial grime, and we don't bother washing them too often because they’d just get dirty again. Inside, the space is filled with equipment and bins of metal parts. We don't have any corporate mission statements on the walls. Instead, we have calendars and old notes taped up. It’s a place where we work hard and don't worry about being fancy. The guys on the shop floor have a lot of experience and can tell if a machine is running wrong just by the sound of it. We have our tea breaks out near the entrance sometimes to watch the cars go by on Mathura Road. It’s a noisy, busy place but it’s our place. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out to the people waiting for them. That’s about all there is to it, really. It is a simple life of making things and dealing with the everyday grind.
