Shiv Machine Tools

We are located over at No. 20 A/9 in the Dhanda Complex, which most people know because it is directly opposite the big Whirlpool plant in N.I.T. Being across from such a large factory means there is always something going on nearby, with trucks coming and going at all hours. Our shop, Shiv Machine Tools, is where we keep all the heavy equipment and metal-working gear that we handle daily. The floor is usually a bit greasy and there is always that smell of industrial oil and cut metal in the air, but that is just part of the job. We have got various machines standing around the workshop floor, some new and some that have seen a lot of use over the years. Our desks are tucked into a corner under a bright tubelight where we keep track of the orders and talk to people who drop in. It is not a quiet place, especially when the neighbors are running their saws or when the traffic on the main road picks up in the afternoon. We do not go in for any corporate style or polished presentations; we just show up in our work clothes and get through the tasks on the list. Most of the guys here have been working with these kinds of tools for years, so we know the machines inside and out. It is a practical kind of place for people who need things fixed or parts supplied.
