Our office is located at House No. 870 in Sector 10, Faridabad. Shikhar Hr Pvt.Ltd has been here for a good while now. Haryana weather can be tough, especially in the winter when it gets really cold or in the summer when the sun is beating down on the roof. We have a small team here working out of this house-turned-office. It feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes, which is nice. We handle a lot of human resources stuff, mostly helping people find jobs and sorting through piles of resumes that come in. It is a lot of reading and phone calls. We don't use any fancy software to do our work; we just use what we have and keep track of things in notebooks and simple spreadsheets. The neighborhood in Sector 10 is mostly residential, so it is usually quiet during the day except for the occasional vegetable vendor passing by. We take turns making tea in the small kitchen in the back. It is not a high-pressure environment. We just try to get the right people into the right spots. Sometimes we have people coming in for interviews all day long, and the waiting area gets a bit crowded. We just pull in extra chairs from the other room. It is a practical way of doing business without any unnecessary polish. We just focus on the people.
