Rimjhim Exim Company is set up at Plot No. 20 in Sector 4. We’ve been operating from this location for some time now, focusing on the export and import side of things. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure containers are loaded correctly. The office is right there on the plot, and it’s usually piled high with files and sample boxes. We don’t have a big sales team; it’s mostly just us handling the logistics and talking to suppliers on the phone. Sector 4 is a busy industrial area, so there’s always trucks moving around and noise from the neighboring units. We like it here because it’s easy for the transport companies to find us. We deal with all sorts of goods, depending on what the market is doing at the time. It’s not a glamorous job. Most of the day is spent checking shipping dates and making sure the customs documents are in order. Sometimes things get delayed at the port, and we have to spend hours sorting it out. We started this business with just a few contacts and it’s grown a bit, but we still operate in a very simple way. We don’t use much marketing; we just try to be reliable so people come back to us next time they need to move goods. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and we feel good about getting things where they need to go.
