Santokh Industries

You can find us in Jawahar Colony, right on Gurudwara Road. We are pretty close to V.M. High School, so we hear the school bell and the kids playing during our breaks. Santokh Industries isn't a massive factory, just a local shop where we put in our hours. The atmosphere here is a bit different because of the Gurudwara nearby; it feels a little more grounded. We do various industrial jobs, mostly small-scale manufacturing. The shop floor is organized in its own way, though it might look messy to someone else. We have a few lathes and some old drill presses that have been with us since we started. There is always a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. We don't have a website or a marketing guy. Most people just walk in or call us because they know we’re here. We do the work as it comes. If a machine breaks, we spend the afternoon fixing it. If a neighbor needs something small repaired, we usually help them out. It’s a community vibe. We don't talk about being the leaders in anything. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure we don't waste any material. At the end of the day, we wash the grease off our hands and lock the shutters. It’s a quiet, steady life for everyone involved here.
