Sainik Machine Tools

Down in Gali No. 4, at Plot No. 3177, you’ll find our workshop. We are in Block-A of S.G.M. Nagar, right in the N.I.T. area. It’s one of those parts of town where everyone seems to be making something. Sainik Machine Tools has been a part of this street for a long time. The space is filled with heavy equipment that has seen plenty of use over the years. We take care of our tools because they are what allow us to do our jobs every day. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the lane sometimes, especially when a big truck tries to make a delivery, but we make it work. The air always smells a bit like iron and oil here. We don’t use big words or try to impress people with fancy titles. We are just mechanics and machinists who know how to work with our hands. A lot of the people who come to us are regulars from the surrounding blocks who need something repaired or a specific part made. We usually have the radio playing in the background, competing with the sound of the drills. It’s not a quiet life, but it’s a good one. We take pride in just being steady and showing up every morning to do what needs doing. No frills, just plenty of metalwork and honest conversation over the workbench with anyone who drops by.
