Sahil Graphics

You can find Sahil Graphics at Plot 62 in Section 59 of the HSIDC Industrial Estate. It’s a typical industrial area setup. We have the printing presses on the ground floor and some space for the design work. The noise of the machines is pretty constant, a sort of rhythmic thumping that you stop noticing after an hour. We deal with a lot of ink, so there are always smudges on the rags and sometimes on our hands too. The air in the estate can be a bit heavy with the smell of exhaust and chemicals from the other units. We’ve got stacks of cardstock and paper rolls everywhere. It’s not exactly organized like a library, but we know where everything is. The office upstairs is where we sit down to look at the layouts on the computers. It’s a bit cooler up there. We don't have a big sign out front, just the plot number and the name on the gate. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly so we can get back to the run. We spend a lot of time adjusting the rollers and checking the alignment. It’s physical work combined with a bit of looking at screens. We just try to keep the machines running without too many jams or breakdowns during the week. There is always another job waiting to be printed.
