S. D. Steel

You can find S. D. Steel over at B 330 in Nehru Ground, right in the N.I.T area. We’ve been working out of this spot for years. Dealing with steel is heavy work, and our premises reflect that. It’s a functional space designed for moving metal and keeping things organized. We don't really have a lot of time for formalities. When people come by, they usually want to know what’s in stock and how soon they can get it. Nehru Ground is a well-known area, so it’s pretty easy for folks to find us. We keep things simple here. There’s a desk for the paperwork and plenty of room for the steel. We don't try to make the place look like a showroom because it isn't one. It’s a place where work gets done. Most of the time, we are busy loading or unloading, or checking the quality of the latest batch. It’s just a few of us running the show, so we all have to do a bit of everything. We aren't some big faceless company; we are just the guys you see when you walk in the door. Being in N.I.T puts us right in the middle of things, which is good for business. We don't have a mission statement or a long history written on the wall. We just sell steel and try to be fair about it every day. It's not glamorous but it's what we do well enough.
