Rasoi The Caterers

Rasoi The Caterers operates out of Village Charmwood on the Main Surajkund Road at G2. It is more of a workspace than a place where people come to sit and eat. Most of our day is spent loading and unloading big metal crates from the back of our delivery vans. We have a very large kitchen area because we have to cook for hundreds of people at one time. The Main Surajkund Road is often busy with traffic, especially near the Charmwood area, so we have to plan our timing carefully so we aren't late. Inside G2, it is usually a bit chaotic with people chopping vegetables and others cleaning the big cooking pots. We have stacks of plates and silver trays piled high against the walls. The heat in the kitchen can be quite intense when all the burners are going at once. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with people about their events. It’s not a glamorous job; there is a lot of heavy lifting and late nights spent cleaning up after the cooking is done. We are just a group of people who know how to handle large amounts of food. The floors are usually covered in mats so we don't slip while carrying the heavy containers. We don't have a storefront with big windows, just a functional space where the work gets done. It is a humble operation tucked away in the village area.
