Rakesh Caterers

Rakesh Caterers operates out of 2L-44 in NIT, right near the Hanuman Mandir. It’s a place where we do all our prep and planning for the events we handle. Being near the temple means there is always something going on nearby, which we like. We started this because we enjoy cooking and seeing people eat well at their parties or small gatherings. It’s mostly family helping out here. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just a kitchen that gets very busy on weekends. Sometimes the stove gives us trouble or we run out of space for all the pots, but we manage. People in the neighborhood know us by name now. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about what they want for their lunches or dinners. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bags of rice and chopping vegetables for hours. We don’t mind it though. It keeps us active. If you are walking past the temple, you might smell what we are cooking that day. We try to keep things simple and honest. No big promises, just decent food for whatever event someone is hosting. It’s been our life for a long time and we plan to keep it that way for as long as we can. Every day is different and that makes the long hours in the heat worth it for our team.
