Prakash Bartan & General Store

We are located right in the heart of N I T, Faridabad. My father started this shop a long time ago and now I handle most of the daily work here. We have a lot of steel bartan stacked up, from big cooking pots to small spoons and plates. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when you walk in because we also keep general items like soaps, detergents, and plastic buckets. If you are looking for something for your kitchen, we probably have it tucked away somewhere on the high shelves. I usually spend my time cleaning the stainless steel so it stays shiny for the customers. Faridabad can be a busy place, and our street in Nit gets quite crowded during the evening hours. We don't have any fancy displays or big bright lights. It is just a regular shop where you can come and get what you need without much fuss. Sometimes people come in just to ask for directions, and that is fine too. We’ve seen many families grow up in this neighborhood over the years. They bought their first pressure cooker from us and now their kids come for their own house stuff. It makes me feel like we are part of the community here. The shop is old and the walls could use a bit of paint, but it works for us. We just keep things simple and honest.
