Mittal Tent House

Down here in Faridabad N I T, things are always moving fast. Mittal Tent House has been sitting in this spot for a long time. If you walk around NIT, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and people. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the warehouse because things get messy so quickly when we are busy. We have stacks of chairs that go up to the ceiling and bundles of cloth for the pandals. It is heavy work and my hands are usually a bit dirty from moving the iron frames. We don't have a website or a big sign, just the name on the front and the stuff we have. People come in asking for rates for small birthdays or big weddings. Sometimes we tell them we are fully booked and they get a bit upset, but that is how it goes in the peak season. Faridabad gets very dusty, so we have to keep cleaning the decorative pieces over and over again. It’s not a glamorous job at all. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. Most of our customers are locals who have known us for years. We just try to get the tents up straight and the lights working so the party can happen. We usually close up late when the trucks come back.
