Mahalakshmi Palace Hotel

This hotel is situated at 68, N.I.T., right on Neelam Bata Road. It is a central spot, so we see a lot of people coming through for work or just passing through the city. The building isn't the newest on the block, but we do our best to keep the rooms tidy and the bathrooms clean. Dealing with a hotel means you are never really closed. There is always someone checking in late at night or asking for extra towels in the morning. We have some regular staff who have been here for years, and they know the quirks of the plumbing and the electrical switches. The road outside is always noisy with cars and bikes, but we tried to make the rooms quiet enough so people can actually sleep. We don't have any of those big fancy lobbies with fountains. It is just a desk, some chairs, and a hallway leading to the rooms. Most of our guests are looking for a place that doesn't cost too much but isn't a mess either. We spend a lot of time on laundry, making sure the sheets are changed and ready. Sometimes the elevator acts up or the internet goes slow, and we have to run around to fix it. It is a lot of small tasks that never really end, but that is just how running a place on Neelam Bata Road goes for us.
