Kunika Dwelling Construction Private Limited is based out of House No. 266 in Surya Vihar. It’s near Sanjay Colony in Sehatpur, which is a part of Faridabad that stays pretty active. Since the office is in a house, it feels very much like a family business. We’ve got kids playing outside and neighbors walking by all day. We mostly handle housing construction, which makes sense given where we are located. We’ve seen Sehatpur change a lot over the years. Our work is mostly about helping people get their own houses built. We spend a lot of time looking at concrete and talking to masons. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. You’re usually covered in a bit of dust by noon. We manage our own schedules and sometimes that means working through the weekend if a slab needs pouring. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything. It’s just us and the crew we’ve known for years. We try to keep our costs down so the people we build for don’t get hit too hard. Dealing with the local authorities and the electricity board is probably the hardest part of what we do. It’s a lot of waiting around. But at the end of the day, we’re just building homes in our own community. That's enough for us to keep going. We're just trying to do honest work.
