Khandelwal Metal Corporation

Khandelwal Metal Corporation is tucked away on the 1st Floor at B-142 in Nehru Ground. It’s right near the NIT area which is usually a hive of activity. Since we are on the first floor, we spend a lot of time carrying metal up and down the stairs which definitely keeps us in shape. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks and a lot of samples lying around. We’ve been in this spot for some time now and most people find us by looking for the landmarks nearby. The light coming through the windows in the morning is nice but by the afternoon it gets quite warm up here. We mostly deal with different types of metals and keep records of everything in big ledgers. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and checking what we have in stock. The Nehru Ground area can be a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with it, so we often have to give directions over the phone to folks who get lost. We don’t have a flashy sign or anything, just the name on the door. The guys here have been working together for years so we have our own way of doing things. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the paperwork and metal pieces, but we know where everything is. Just a regular day at the shop really. We take a break when things get slow and watch the traffic below on the street.
