Kala Udyog

You can find Kala Udyog over at Plot No 52 in Sector 6. We are pretty close to the Sector 6 Idgah, which is a good landmark if you’re looking for us. The area is mostly industrial, so there are lots of similar workshops around. We do a bit of everything here, mostly small-scale manufacturing. The building is a bit older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We have a small group of workers who have been here for a long time. We know each other’s families and how everyone likes their tea. It’s not a fancy operation with a human resources department or anything like that. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out over lunch. We don't spend money on big ads or billboards. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years or someone told them about us. The work can be tough on the back, and we’re usually pretty tired by the end of the shift. But there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished product ready to be shipped out. We keep our tools in good shape and try to keep the floor clear of junk. It’s just a steady, quiet business. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just show up at the plot every morning and get to it. Some days are slow, but mostly we have enough to keep the machines running through the afternoon for the customers.
