Jai Durge Building Material

Jai Durge Building Material is located right in the middle of the Gounchi Sabzi Mandi Market on Sohna Road. We’ve got shops 9 through 13, which sounds like a lot of space, but with all the bricks, sand, and pipes we keep, it feels small pretty fast. Being in the vegetable market area means it’s always loud and crowded. Early mornings are the busiest when the trucks are coming in and the vegetable sellers are setting up their stalls. We’re usually out there early too, unloading heavy stuff and getting ready for the builders who come by. It’s a dirty job, and we’re always covered in some kind of dust or grit by noon. The office part of the shop is just a couple of chairs and a table where we keep the ledgers. We don't do things on fancy computers much; we prefer writing it down in a notebook so we don't lose track. Customers come in looking for stuff to fix their roofs or start new walls. We just give them the price and help them load up their carts. There’s no big sales pitch here. We just show what we have in the yard. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when the heavy rain turns the yard into a big puddle, but we manage to get the orders out anyway. It’s just hard work and long days here on Sohna Road, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
