If you come down to Bhudutt Colony in Ballabgarh, you will find Haryana Bartan Store. We sell all kinds of kitchen stuff like steel pots, pans, and plates. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with metal items, so it gets quite noisy when we move things around. There is always a clanging sound in the air here. We have been in this part of Ballabgarh for a long time. People come to us when they are setting up a new kitchen or if they need a big pressure cooker. The shop is narrow, so we have to be careful not to knock things over. In the mornings, we spend time polishing some of the brass items so they look decent. It is a lot of dusting because the road outside is always busy with rickshaws and bikes. We do not have a computer system; we just write everything down in a big ledger. It works fine for us. Sometimes customers stay for a long time trying to decide which set of spoons they like best. We just let them take their time. The floor is concrete and it stays cool in the summer.
