Guru Nanak Machine Tools

We are set up at Plot-5 in Sector-5, right near the 20/5 Mile Stone along Mathura Road. Being out here on the main road means there is always a lot of heavy traffic and dust flying around. Our workshop is focused on machine tools. We have a lot of heavy equipment inside for cutting and shaping metal. It’s a loud place to work, and the smell of cutting oil is pretty much always in the air. We’ve been at this location for a good many years. The building itself is older, with high ceilings and big windows that let in some light, though they’re usually pretty grimy from the exhaust outside. We aren't a high-tech facility with computers everywhere. It’s mostly manual work and old-fashioned mechanical skills. We get a lot of workers from the nearby sectors coming in for specific parts or to get something repaired. We don't have a fancy waiting room or air conditioning. Most people just stand around the machines while we talk about the job. It’s a practical environment for people who work with their hands and don't mind a bit of grease. We keep our coffee pot going all day long. Sometimes we work through the weekends if there’s a big order that needs to go out. We don’t really have a corporate philosophy. We just try to do the work right so it doesn't come back broken. It’s a tough, honest living out here.
