G.K. Hydraulic & Engineering Works

Our workshop, G.K. Hydraulic & Engineering Works, is located at Plot No. 443 on the Delhi Mathura Road. It’s right opposite the PNB Bank near the 21/4 mile stone in Ballabgarh. Being on the NH-2 means there’s constant traffic and noise from the heavy trucks. We do a lot of hydraulic repairs and some general engineering tasks. People bring in their heavy machinery, and we try to get it back in working order. The yard is usually filled with old parts and some iron scrap. It’s a messy place, but we know where everything is. We have some heavy-duty jacks and a couple of welding machines. The work is physically demanding and we’re usually covered in oil by noon. My father set this place up a long time ago. We don’t have a fancy office or air conditioning. We just have a small room with some chairs where customers wait. Sometimes we have to work late into the night if a customer has a breakdown on the highway and needs a quick fix. We don't use any fancy management software, just a simple notebook for entries. It’s a tough job but we’ve been doing it for years and we know the machines well. You can’t miss us if you’re driving down the highway near Ballabgarh.
