Ggl Steel & Strips Pvt. Ltd. is located at B-20, Nehru Ground in the N.I.T. area. We’ve been set up here for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age, but it serves us well enough. We specialize in steel and strips, which involves a lot of cutting and coiling. Our floor space is mostly taken up by big rolls of steel and the machines we use to process them. It’s a loud place to work, and you definitely need to watch where you’re walking because there’s always a forklift moving something around. We don't have a big front office or anyone to greet you at the door. Usually, you just walk in and find someone who isn't too busy to talk. We try to keep things moving as quickly as we can, but steel is heavy and takes time to handle safely. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the whole afternoon getting them back online, which is frustrating but part of the job. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years because they know what to expect and they like that we don't overcomplicate things. We just provide the steel strips as requested and get on with the next order. It’s a basic operation, but it works for us and the people we serve in this busy neighborhood.
