Gallay India Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Plot No. 49 in the DLF Industrial Area, Phase-I. Being in this part of the city means we’re surrounded by a lot of other factories and warehouses, so there’s always a constant hum of activity. Our building is a standard industrial unit, nothing that stands out too much, but it's where we spend most of our waking hours. Inside, it's mostly about keeping the production going. We have machines that have been with us for a long time, and they need a bit of looking after now and then. The floor manager usually has a list of things to get through by the end of the shift, and we try our best to stick to that. It’s not always quiet, and sometimes things break down right when you don't want them to, but that's just how factory life goes. We don't really have a big fancy lobby for visitors. Most people who come by are truck drivers or suppliers who know their way around the yard. We take our tea breaks together near the back entrance where it’s a bit cooler. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do; we just make things and send them out. It’s practical work for practical people, and we’ve been doing it this way at this address for a long time without much fuss. The fans are a bit squeaky but they get the job done.
