Friends Steel House

You can find Friends Steel House right in the middle of Surya Bazar near Ajmeri Gate. Our address is 1853, and it’s a place that stays pretty loud from morning till evening. Surya Bazar is one of those old-school markets where everyone is shouting or moving something heavy. We deal mostly in steel, so there is always the clanging of metal hitting metal. It’s a tough business but we’ve been doing it a long time. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack the pipes and sheets. Sometimes it feels like a puzzle trying to get to a specific item at the bottom of a pile. We don't have a website with flashy photos or a sales team in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes, helping whoever walks through the door. Ajmeri Gate has a lot of history and we feel like a small part of that tradition. The traffic in the bazaar can be a nightmare, but you get used to it after a few years. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and we often help each other out when someone is short-handed.
