Our office is at 14/3 near Havells Chowk on Mathura Road. It’s a very noisy intersection, and there is always something happening outside the windows. If you’ve ever driven down Mathura Road, you probably know the spot. We focus on power projects here. It is mostly office work—lots of calling suppliers, checking on orders, and making sure the paperwork is in order. The building is a bit older, so the stairs are narrow and the paint is peeling in a few places, but we don't mind. It feels like a real place of work. We have a small pantry where we keep our lunches and a tiny fridge that makes a humming noise. Usually, someone brings in snacks to share in the afternoon. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world; we just want to do a decent job for the people who hire us. The traffic at the chowk can be a nightmare during rush hour, so most of us try to leave a bit early or stay late to avoid the worst of it. We have a few cabinets full of old files that we really should go through one day, but we never seem to find the time. It’s a busy life, but it’s good to have a steady place to come to every morning. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of things to do. We don't have many visitors, just the mailman and the occasional delivery.
