Chhabra Crockery & General Store

You can find Chhabra Crockery & General Store at No.25 in Market No.1, right inside the Sewa Samiti Shopping Centre in Faridabad. This market is a busy place and there is always something going on around us. We deal with a lot of different things, mostly crockery like plates and glasses, but we have some general items too. It is a bit of a puzzle trying to fit all the glass items on the shelves without anything breaking. We spend a lot of time wrapping things in old newspapers for customers so they do not crack on the way home. The shopping centre gets very crowded on the weekends and that is when we are the busiest. In the winters, it gets cold in the shop because of the open front, so we wear our sweaters and keep moving to stay warm. We are not trying to be a big department store or anything. We just want to make sure people can find a decent set of cups or a new bucket when they need one. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from all the foot traffic in the market, but we sweep it when we get a quiet moment. It is a family-run kind of thing and we have been here at the NIT area for years. People come back because they know we are usually here from morning until late at night. It is just honest work in a busy market that keeps us going every day.
