We operate Century Metal Recyling Pvt Ltd down in Palwal Village, specifically around Kartarpur Palaver. It’s more of a yard than a formal office, really. We spend most of our time outdoors, sorting through piles of scrap and making sure everything is in the right pile for recycling. The weather really dictates how our day goes; if it rains, things get muddy and slow down, but on sunny days, we’re out there from sunrise to sunset. It’s a family-style environment even though it’s a private limited company. Most of us have lived in or near the village our whole lives. We don’t use a lot of big words or have fancy titles. If a truck comes in with a load, we all chip in to get it weighed and sorted. The machinery we use is old but it works well enough for what we need. You won’t find any polished floors or glass walls here. It’s just dirt, metal, and hard work. We’re tucked away in the Kartarpur Palaver area, so it’s quiet except for the sound of the baler or the occasional tractor passing by. We like it this way. It’s honest work that helps clean things up a bit, and it keeps us busy throughout the year. We don't need any fancy advertisements when the work itself is right there in front of us.
