Working out here at 14/5 Milestone on Mathura Road means you get used to the sound of trucks passing by all day long. It’s a busy spot and the air is always a bit thick with dust from the traffic. We spend most of our time dealing with these big electrical panels. It’s a lot of metal and wiring, and it can get pretty hot in the workspace during the summer months. We have a small team here at Bansal Vidyut & Panels (P) Ltd. and everyone pretty much knows what they need to do without being told. Some days are slower than others, but usually, there's always a deadline hanging over us for some project or another. The floor is usually covered in tools and pieces of copper. We try to sweep up every evening, but by the next morning, it looks the same again. It’s just the nature of what we do. The office part is just a couple of desks shoved into the corner where we handle the billing and the phone calls. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to actually hear the birds outside. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us in our work shirts trying to figure out a wiring diagram or loading something onto a pickup truck. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and we have been here for years.
