Ambe Aluminium

We have been operating out of 109/3 Charmwood for several years now. It’s a basic setup where we handle aluminium work, mostly frames and fittings for the local houses and shops around here. The workspace is usually crowded with long metal sections and off-cuts, so you have to watch where you step when you walk in. It is not a showroom or anything like that, just a place where we get the job done. Most days, we start early in the morning when the sun is just coming up. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and using the saw. It’s loud and there is always metal dust on the floor, but that is part of the routine. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the tools and move the heavy pieces around. If the phone rings, someone usually picks it up, but we’re often busy in the back. People mostly find us by word of mouth or by just seeing the sign when they pass through Charmwood. We don't do much advertising. We just focus on finishing whatever order is on the table so we can move to the next one. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of handle or screw and have to wait for the delivery, which can be annoying, but we just deal with it. We just close up when the light goes.
