Akash Packaging

Akash Packaging is over at 84, Sector-59, within the Hsidc Industrial Estate. If you’ve spent any time in industrial estates, you know the vibe—lots of grey buildings, the sound of forklifts, and a lot of activity from dawn till dusk. We fit right in. Our space is mostly taken up by the machinery and the big rolls of material we use for packaging. There’s not much room for a fancy reception area or anything like that. We spend our time checking the settings on the cutters and making sure the print is coming out right. It’s a hands-on kind of job. The floor is usually covered in little offcuts of paper or plastic, no matter how much we sweep. We’ve been in Sector-59 for a while now, and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we just keep at it. The tea stalls nearby are where we catch up on the local news during our breaks. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but there’s a certain rhythm to it that you start to appreciate. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just making sure that when someone needs a box or a wrapper, they get it. It’s noisy and sometimes the power goes out, but that’s just life in an industrial estate. We just wait for it to come back and then get back to the machines.
