Out here in the HSIDC Industrial Estate in Sector 59, things are pretty industrial and straightforward. We are at Plot No. 89, and it’s a place where things actually get built and moved around. At Akash Equipments Machinery, we spend our days around heavy metal and big mechanical parts. It gets very hot in the summer and the floor is usually a bit greasy, but that’s just the nature of working with machinery every day. We make parts and equipment that other businesses use to do their jobs. We aren't sitting in a fancy air-conditioned office all day long. Most of us are out on the floor, checking the lathes or looking over blueprints. There’s always a sound of something being cut or welded in the background. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we know our way around the HSIDC estate quite well. It’s a lot of hard work and making sure the measurements are exactly what they need to be before anything leaves the gate. If a machine breaks down, we have to figure out why and fix it ourselves. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just have guys who know how to work with their hands and understand how gears and motors are supposed to fit together. It's a straightforward business. We make the machines, we ship them out, and we start on the next one.
