A. S. Steel Tube

We are set up at Plot No. 47 and 48 in the SMIE area, Phase-II. It’s right across from the Y.M.C.A., so it’s fairly easy to find if you know where that is. A. S. Steel Tube has been operating from this spot for a while. It’s a bit of a spread-out place with the two plots. We spend most of our time moving things back and forth. It can get quite hot in the afternoons under the roof. We don't have any fancy air conditioning in the main area. Just some fans and the breeze if we’re lucky. The road outside can get a bit clogged with deliveries. We’ve gotten used to the noise from the traffic and the neighbors. It’s a working district, so there’s always something happening. We have a small corner for the paperwork, but mostly it's just about the stock. The gate is usually open during the day. We aren't the type of people to wear suits to work. It’s a hands-on kind of environment. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to get through the day's tasks. If you stop by, you'll probably see us busy with something. It’s just a normal day for us. We’ve been here so long that we know the guys in the plots next door. It’s a good community of people just trying to make a living. We keep things moving as best as we can.
