G L Thiruppathi Textiles is located out by Bhavani Sagar Dam in Sathyamangalam. We’ve been at number 877 for quite some time. It’s a quiet area mostly, though we get visitors coming by to see the dam. Our shop deals in various fabrics and cloths. People from the nearby villages usually stop in when they need something specific for a wedding or just everyday wear. We spend most of our days sorting through stock and helping whoever walks through the door. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but we like it out here. The air is better. Sometimes we get busy during the festival seasons, and that’s when things get a bit hectic around here. We’ve got stacks of material piled up, and it can look a bit messy, but we know where everything is. My family has been doing this for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just a reliable place for the local community. The building itself is plain, nothing too special to look at from the outside. If you are heading towards the dam, you’ll likely pass right by us. We mostly focus on traditional wear and cottons. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we’re here. It is just the way we have always done things.
