Our shop is at 232 Sathy Road, just across from the court in Gobichettipalayam. It’s a good location because everyone comes to this part of town for their errands. We have farm machinery and different power tools sitting out front. Farmers from the nearby villages stop by to look at the tractors or the tillers. We’ve been here at Anusham for several years now. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually sit in the back where it’s cooler. It’s not a fancy showroom like you see in the cities. We have grease on our clothes and tools scattered on the workbenches. People come in to talk about their crops and what kind of equipment might help them out. We listen and show them what we have in stock. If we don’t have it, we try to get it from our suppliers. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. The road outside is always busy with buses and carts. We know the tea seller next door very well and often share a cup. We don’t use any complicated sales talk or anything like that. We just tell people how the engines work and what they need to do to keep them running well. It’s a practical business for a farming area. We like the pace of life here. It’s honest work, and we plan to stay right here for a long time.
