Softbel Tech (Opc) Private Limited is located over at Plra 131 on Ponoth Lane. If you know Kochi, you know Kaloor can get pretty crowded during the day, but our little corner is a bit different. We are an OPC, so it's a tight operation. Most days, it is just about getting through the list of things that need fixing or building. We don’t have a massive team or a skyscraper office with a view. It’s just this spot on Ponoth Lane where the actual work happens. We handle tech tasks, mostly sitting in front of screens for hours at a time. It’s not a very exciting story to tell anyone. We started this because we needed a place to work on software and this office in Kaloor fit the bill. The building is okay, it keeps the rain out during the monsoon and has enough power for the servers. We try to keep things simple. No one here wears a suit unless they have to go somewhere else for a meeting. Usually, it's just jeans and t-shirts for everyone. We have a coffee machine that gets a lot of use every morning. People come by sometimes to talk about projects, and we sit around the old wooden table to figure it out together. It’s honest work and we try to do it right without making a big fuss about things. We’ve been part of the local scene here for a bit now and it feels like home.
