Rensun Supermart

The shop is located at 94, Pattakuzhi. We are situated near the Pachalam Pramachorium. It’s a bit of a quiet area in some ways, but there are always people moving about. Calling it a supermart might sound big, but it’s just a medium-sized shop with different aisles for groceries and home items. We have the usual metal racks and those plastic shopping baskets for people to use. I spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates and putting new price stickers on things. It’s a lot of manual work. The floors are tiled, and I try to mop them every morning before the first person walks in. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, so most of our customers live right here in Pattakuzhi. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who take turns at the billing counter. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a torch to find things for people. That’s just part of being here. We have a small fridge for cold drinks, which is popular when the weather gets hot. There isn't much decoration on the walls, just some calendars and a clock. We stay open until late evening. It’s just a place where you can get your salt, sugar, and soap without having to go all the way into the main town.
