H & C Stores

H & C Stores is located in the Jomer Srinilayam building, right near TDM Hall on D.H. Road in Ernakulam. Being near TDM Hall means there’s usually something going on nearby, so the street is rarely quiet. Our store has been a part of this neighborhood for quite some time. We sell various items that people in Ernakulam need for their daily lives or their studies. The building itself is sturdy, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you're carrying a lot of bags. Inside, the layout is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much as possible onto the shelves. We don't have those big bright signs or loud music playing. It’s just a regular store where you can come in and find what you're looking for. Sometimes the humidity in Ernakulam makes the paper feel a bit soft, but we try to keep the fans running to move the air around. The staff here knows where most things are, though even we get confused sometimes when a new shipment arrives and we have to find a spot for it. We see a lot of students and office workers because of our location on D.H. Road. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, open the shutters, and help whoever walks through the door. It’s not a polished retail experience, but it’s honest work and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the city around us.
