Monzoon Travel House

Monzoon Travel House is over in Pioneer Towers, specifically at No.G-47. We are right on Shanmugham Road, which is one of those places that never really goes quiet in Ernakulam. Being near Marine Drive and the Taj Residency means there’s always someone walking by. The office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just pop their heads in. It’s not a very big space, but we have enough room for our computers and a couple of shelves for travel brochures that have been there for ages. The air conditioner is usually struggling against the Kochi heat, but it stays cool enough to work. We spend a lot of time talking to people about where they want to go and checking if there are any seats left on flights or buses. It’s a lot of waiting for pages to load on the screen. Sometimes we step out to the front of Pioneer Towers just to get some fresh air and look at the traffic. The 682031 area is always busy, so there’s always something to see. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that; it’s just us doing the bookings and answering the phones as they ring. Most of our day is spent making sure the names are spelled right on the tickets and the dates are correct. It’s straightforward work, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite a while now without any major changes.
