We are over here at Fathima Cottage on KC Abraham Road in Panampilly Nagar. It’s a quiet spot, really, tucked away from the main noise of the busier streets. Most days start with opening up the front door and letting some fresh air in before the students start showing up for their classes. It isn't a huge fancy building or anything, just a regular place where we have set up chairs and tried to get things ready for the daily lessons. You can hear the traffic from the main road sometimes if the wind is right, but back here on our little lane, it’s mostly just the sound of people talking or the occasional car passing by the gate. We’ve been at No.39/6605-A for a good while now. The rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but the ceiling fans keep things moving enough to stay comfortable for everyone. Usually, there’s a lot of paper around the office, with notes and books piled up on the desks where people work. We spend a lot of time just making sure everyone has what they need for their lessons and that the schedules are sorted out. It’s pretty straightforward work, honestly. Sometimes we have tea in the back during the break when things quiet down. People walk in and out all day long, some looking for information and others just coming for their regular sessions. The neighborhood is nice because there are some trees around and it doesn’t feel too crowded. It’s just us doing our thing in this part of Kochi.
