We are right at H. M. T. Junction in Kalamassery. It’s a busy spot with all the traffic passing through, but inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter. We have been here for a good while now. The shelves are packed with all kinds of books, from school texts to novels people like to read on the bus. On the other side, we have the watches. It’s a bit of an odd mix, maybe, but it works for us. People stop in because they need a new battery for their wrist watch or maybe they are looking for something to read over the weekend. We have some glass cases that we try to keep clean, though the dust from the road always finds a way in. It’s just a regular shop run by regular people. We don't have a big staff, so you usually see the same faces every time you walk through the door. Sometimes we have a chat with the regulars about the news or just how hot the weather is getting. We try to keep things in order, but with so many small items, it can get a little messy behind the counter. If you’re looking for a specific book, we might have to dig around a bit to find it. That’s just how it goes here. We open up early and stay until the evening rush settles down.
