If you find yourself on SRM Road in Cochin, you might see Vattoly Tower. We are up on the 4th floor at 4S. Hapifeats Technologies Private Limited has been in this spot for a while now. Being in Ernakulam, specifically this part of the city, means everything is close by, which is handy. The elevator in the building can be a bit slow sometimes, so a few of us just take the stairs to get some exercise. Our office is a straightforward space. It’s not a designer studio. We have rows of desks and a lot of tangled wires that we try to keep organized but usually fail at. There’s a nice view of the street from the windows, which is good for people-watching during breaks. We are a small group of people who just like working on tech stuff. We don't have a HR department or a complex hierarchy. We just decide what needs to happen and then we do it. The neighborhood has some great small eateries where we grab lunch. It's a busy, lived-in part of Cochin, and our office reflects that. It’s a bit worn around the edges, but it’s our space and it works for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look; we just want a functional place to work every day. It gets noisy with traffic outside, but once the windows are shut, we can focus on the job at hand.
