I’ve been based out of Cheranellur for a good while now. It’s part of Kochi 34, which most locals know as a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here. My place is at Chettyparambi, and honestly, finding it the first time can be a bit of a trick. The roads are narrow and sometimes the maps get a bit confused with all the little turns. It’s a quiet pocket of Ernakulam, which I prefer over the madness of the city center. You can hear the birds in the morning, which is rare in Kochi these days. The office isn't anything special to look at. Just a space with the usual furniture and some dusty shelves. I keep things pretty simple. Most days it’s just me and the occasional visitor stopping by for a chat or some business. We don’t have fancy coffee machines or a reception desk. I usually just pull up a chair for whoever walks in. The weather here is either really hot or really wet, so the fan is always going at full speed. I like that it’s near the water, though you can't always see it from the window. It feels like a real neighborhood, not some sterile office park. People know each other here. It’s just how things are in this part of Kochi. Nothing fancy, just a spot where I come to get things done.
