Being located at Plot 47 on Bristow Road out on Willingdon Island makes for an interesting workday. Vallabhdas Kanji Limited is right in the heart of the port area, so there is always a lot of movement. You can smell the salt in the air and hear the cranes working near the docks. We are not a flashy company with a high-rise office. Our workspace is a straightforward building where we handle our business every day. It gets a bit dusty and the traffic on the bridge can be a real headache in the mornings, but we make it work. We have a small crew of people who have been here for years. They know the ins and outs of the island and how the trade flows through here. We do not spend time on fancy marketing or trying to sound like a big corporate entity. We just focus on our tasks and make sure everything is sorted. The afternoons get pretty hot, so we usually have the fans running full blast. Bristow Road is busy with trucks and heavy vehicles, and we are just one of the many businesses trying to keep things moving. It is honest work in a place that has a lot of history.
