Gigabyte Systems

Our shop is at Sankarassery Arcade, number Xli/1750 on Chitoor Road. We are directly opposite Sree Sudheendra Hospital, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. The arcade is usually busy with people coming and going from the hospital or the other shops nearby. We have a front window that lets in some light, but most of the room is taken up by workbenches and shelves full of parts. We spend a lot of time hunched over boards and components. It is not the cleanest place in the world because there is always some dust from all the electronics. We have a couple of plastic chairs for visitors, but they usually end up holding a box of spare cables instead. The traffic on Chitoor Road can be a nightmare during rush hour, so we often stay a bit late to let it clear out. We do our work, chat with the guys in the next shop, and try to keep the machines running. There is no corporate manual here or a dress code to follow. We just wear what is comfortable and get on with the repairs. It is a straightforward way of living and working. Being right across from the hospital means we see a lot of life every day, and it keeps us grounded in our little corner of the arcade. Most of our tools are older, but they still work just fine for what we need to do.
