Feba Computers

Our small shop, Feba Computers, is tucked away at Tc-13/751 in Mughanodil Vadyakkadu, Kunnalangi. It’s a quiet area for the most part, except when the local traffic picks up. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of old motherboards, monitors that people forgot to pick up, and bins full of screws and plastic parts. We spend most of the day hunched over a workbench with a soldering iron or a screwdriver in hand. People from the village and nearby areas bring in their laptops when they won't turn on or when the kids have spilled something on the keyboard. It’s not a shiny showroom. There’s a faint smell of burnt dust and solder, which is just part of the job. We have a small bench for customers to sit on while they wait, but usually, they just stand and chat about the news or the weather while we try to figure out why a hard drive is clicking. We started out here because it was close to home and we’ve just stayed put. Every now and then, the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, which gives us a break from the screens. It’s a messy business, honestly, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't have a website that works properly or a marketing person. People just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign outside when they pass through.
