Our office is located in the Mughal Restaurant Building, which is on South Railway Station Road in Ernakulam South. Being so close to the South Railway Station means it’s always busy around here. You can hear the trains sometimes and there are always people rushing past with bags. We’ve been in this building for a while now. The smell of food from the restaurant downstairs usually starts drifting up around noon, which makes us all hungry. We don’t have a huge polished office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a few desks, some chairs for people to sit on, and our computers. We spend most of our time helping people plan tours around India. It’s a lot of checking schedules and trying to find the right routes. The traffic on the road outside can be quite loud, especially during the morning rush. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy decorations. There are a few maps on the walls and some calendars. It’s a simple setup for a travel business. People stop by because they are already at the station or they live nearby. We just talk to them like regular people. There is no script or corporate pressure here. We just look at the screen and tell you what’s available. It is a bit cramped when it gets busy, but we manage to get the work done regardless.
