Biju Kuriakose

This is Biju Kuriakose. I run things from Kollamparambil House over in Pampakuda. It’s out toward the Cochin side of Ernakulam. I’ve lived in this house for a long time, so it made sense to just set up my workspace here instead of going all the way into the main city center every day. It’s a bit quieter out this way which I prefer. I spend a lot of time sitting at the old wooden desk, going through papers and keeping things organized. People from the neighborhood know me, and I’ve always tried to be helpful when someone comes by with a question. It’s not some high-rise office with glass walls, just a regular home where work gets done. My family has been in this area for generations, so there's a lot of history in these walls. I handle most of the tasks myself. Sometimes it gets a bit busy, especially when there are deadlines, but I manage. I don’t see the need for a lot of flash or fancy talk. I just look at what needs to be done and I do it. If you are coming out to Pampakuda, it’s not too hard to find. Most of the locals can point you toward the house. I value being able to work in my own space and staying connected to the local community here. It keeps things grounded and real.
