Athens Corporation Pvt. Ltd. is based at Athens House. We are right near Provident Fund Road in Kaloor. The building is named after the company, which sounds a bit more grand than it actually is. It’s just a normal office building where we spend our days. Kaloor is a very busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside. We can hear the traffic and the people all day long. The office itself is pretty plain. We have a few floors but we mostly stay on one. We’ve been in this location for many years, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. The Provident Fund office nearby brings in a lot of people to the street. We don't really have a big fancy lobby or anything. You just walk in and come up to the desks. Most of us have been here a long time. We have our routines, like where we go for tea and who gets in first to open up. We aren't trying to be some massive global company. We just handle our business here in Kaloor. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails and checking on things. Sometimes the rains make the road outside a bit of a mess, but we just deal with it. It’s just a regular workplace with regular people trying to do their best every day.
