Pattimattom is quite a bit different from the main Kochi city areas. It’s more spread out, and things move at a slower pace out here. My office is actually at Pazhukaniyil House. It’s a residential-style setup, which I find much more comfortable than being stuck in a high-rise building in Ernakulam. There’s a bit of a yard, and you can see trees from the windows instead of just concrete and signs. The drive out here from the city can take some time depending on the road work, but once you arrive, it’s much more peaceful. I don't have a big team or a suite of offices. It's just a dedicated room where I keep everything organized in my own way. The house has been in the family for a while, and it feels right to work from a place with that kind of history. Usually, the only sounds are the ceiling fan and maybe a dog barking somewhere down the lane. It’s a simple life. I don’t use any fancy management software or have a bunch of assistants. If someone needs to see me, they usually call and then drive out. We sit down, maybe have some tea, and talk about whatever needs to be done. It’s a straightforward way of doing things that you don't see much of anymore. 682011 covers a lot of ground, but Pattimattom feels like its own world.
