Our office is at L6/75 in Tube Colony, right by the Baridih Post Office in Jamshedpur. Having the post office so close is actually pretty handy for all the mail we send and receive. This part of Jharkhand has a very specific feel to it, especially being in the 831017 pin code area. It is a quiet spot compared to the main city center, which we appreciate when we are trying to focus on our work. The building itself is plain and functional, exactly what you would expect for a place that deals with steel. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are probably older than some of our staff. We do not spend money on fancy decorations because they do not help us work any better. Our days are filled with the usual routine of checking logs, answering the phone, and talking to the drivers who come by. It can get a bit repetitive, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we like. We are just a small part of a much larger operation, but here in Baridih, it feels more personal. We know the local shopkeepers and the tea stall guy down the road. It is just an ordinary workplace where we try to stay on top of things and be helpful whenever someone stops in with a question or a problem to solve. We just keep our heads down and work.
